Morning Routine Restart
My routine has can be summed up in one word: random. Especially when I'm off for the summer. During the year I am able to have somewhat of a morning routine, but it normally mostly involved getting ready for work. Any personal stuff was waved until the afternoon. I've realized it's really nice to have some sort of routine to promote joy and accomplishment in the morning.
The first thing I like to do whenever I try to rewire any part of my routine is to look to the experts. Obviously they know something I don't know. Especially highly successful people who I idolize. So here are some of the people I looked to for morning routine tips and tricks.

After about a day of research and also analyzing what I value in my "current morning" routine. Which the only consistent things are the two things that make me feel like a normal human so brushing my teeth and having a cup of coffee. This is the current routine I came up with:
Wake Up. Fill my water bottle and start my coffee. While doing my skincare and brushing my teeth I finish 32 oz of water.
Then I head out to my porch with my coffee, gratitude journal (which is actually a planner), and my book that I'm reading at the time. I spend about 5 minutes writing in a gratitude planner. Then I read my book while sipping my coffee for 10-20 minutes. Ending my time on the porch with a couple of sun salutations and yoga to wake up my body.
Last thing I do in my morning routine call or text someone good morning. I'm a very connection-oriented person. This way
